NSW Office of Water Realtime Rivers & Streams Data

 

QLD DERM Realtime Streamflow Data

The NSW Office of Water & QLD DERM manage extensive water monitoring systems that provide data such as flow levels, volume and quality.

These portals gives you access to the real time data and other information collected through this monitoring process.

***Please note***

NSW Office of Water discharge figures are in ML/day while some QLD DERM discharge figures are in cumecs (cubic metres/second).

Conversion: 1 cumecs = 86.4 ML/day

QLD & NSW Road Closure Reports

QLD

The Department of Transport and Main Roads works closely together with RACQ (with assistance from the Queensland Police Service) to provide quality and timely information to travellers on road conditions due to flooding and wet weather. This information is provided 24/7 year round.

You can access this information using one of the following options:

The Live traffic reports are updated from the RTA's Transport Management Centre (TMC). The TMC manages incidents, such as accidents, and other disruptions to the road network, such as special events.

NSW Sustaining the Basin: Border Rivers-Gwydir (STBBRG)

Overview of the Project - Link

Is an irrigation modernisation program of Industry and Investment NSW (I&I NSW) with funding by the Australian Government's 'Water for the Future'  initiative.

STBBRG provides an opportunity for NSW Border Rivers and Gwydir Valley irrigators to upgrade irrigation infrastructure, improve productivity, adapt to reduced water availability and ensure the long term sustainability of local communities

I & I NSW (formally NSW Department of Primary Industries) will be the lead agency with administrative and operational support provided by Border Rivers-Gwydir Catchment Management Authority

Expressions of interest for irrigators to be involved in the program close on the 11th January 2010.
